Alfred awoke to a haze of pain and fatigue. His head felt like it had been blasted with one too many canons. He tried to reach up a hand to clutch at it, but found that he couldn't move his arms. His eyes abruptly shot open. The moment his eyes opened, he cringed because of how bright the light was. A groan escaped from his lips as he tried to bow away from the light. He found himself on a ship that most assuredly wasn't the one he had departed on. Not just that, but he was tied up, in the brig of a ship that was not his own. He wracked his fuzzy brain, trying to recall the events that had transpired, when the appearance of some scruffy pirates entered his mind, it made everything that had happened come crashing back to him in a sudden, painful wave. The stench, a mixture of manure, sweat, sea and alcohol filled his nostrils, making him gasp. But that was the least of his concerns. She had to get to his ship.
